Rachel Turner has 19 years of studio dance training. Teaching dance for a little over 8 years and assisting dance teachers at a young age, she has always been motivated and driven to do what she sets her mind to. Starting at the age of 3 at Dance and Body Works, she later branched off to Expressions Dance Theatre, Thomas G. Pullen and Suitland High School where she obtained her high school diploma within the visual performing arts program. Throughout her 19 years of training she has participated in multiple competitions and shows where she has received various awards and certificates. Having a dream of going to college for dance, she went to Montgomery College in Rockville, MD as a dance performance major. After a semester of traveling with the Montgomery College Dance Company, she got accepted into Slippery Rock University in Western PA where she furthered her education for her passion. Becoming a dance education major and a safety management minor, she later got inducted into an honorary dance sorority ( Sigma Rho Delta ) where she started to really feel her way through her art form. Currently, Miss. Turner is aspiring to mentor young adults to follow their dreams no matter what their financial situation is and make it known to them that their dream doesn't have to come to a halt due to money!
